Not much going on in this peaceful area of the north, though the Musical Talents of Balamb Garden are going on a world tour ending here in the Mako City!
Vector Region
The Empire is launching a new task force dedicated to the investigation of summoning creatures, in particular strange crystalized beings of magic known as Espers. Their war with the rebel faction ‘The Returners’ continues, more news no doubt soon!
Midgar Region
Four years since the disappearance of the legendary SOLDIER Sephiroth, President Shinra in an exclusive interview with SNN gave us this message “ Though we all are still reeling from the loss of one of our greatest heroes, the hard working men and women of SOLDIER and Shinra Security service are still working hard to defend the citizens of Midgar and promote their interests”. President Shinra also went onto say that SOLDIER will be performing a recruitment drive in the coming weeks

Spira Region
Despite the constant threat of Sin all is quiet within the theocratic state. The annual blitzball tournament will be taking place soon in Luca, coverage by SNN!
The Mist Region
Regent Cid of Lindblum continues his bout of seclusion, meanwhile in Alexandria our correspondents are reporting the kidnapping of Princess Garnet Til Alexandros by the theater troupe Tantalus, the group was shot down over the Evil Forest leaving people to speculate the survival of the princess and the Queen’s intentions in getting her back safely.
Galbadia Region
The Galbadian military have been more active as of late, with President Dieling celebrating his tenth year in office eyes of the public seem to be moving towards Dollet, considered by some to still be Galbadian territory. The town however remains highly controversial, holding its own independent status and retaining it with the backing of neighboring regions.

Dreadful news!, in an unexpected turn of events the Spiran Scourge Sin has been sighted heading towards Balamb, is this a freak accident or is it the beginning of something more sinister?

Strange reports from Kilika today of a naked silver female astride a flaming beast, one viewer had this to say. " It's a sign from Yevon, not quite sure what its trying to say. But I'm sure the Maesters will think of something". When pressed on the issue from SNN, the Maesters had no comment except to say that it is highly unlikely a sign from Yevon would be on fire, and or nude.
The Mist Region
The search for Princess Garnet continues, the evil forest; site of the airship crash has become petrified. Literally turning to stone, no one knows just what has happened but our sources claim to have seen a naked woman and a moogle escaping from the scene. More on this story next week.
