Spoiler:

“Oh, Honey, you got much bigger things to worry about than me right now” He cooed to Rena as he pointed at the creature charging its attack.  A series of lightning bolts, and then a ring of energy shot down upon them all.  The pale aura around Lorenzo and Rena both would reappear as the attack passed over them.  Lorenzo felt a burning over his skin, but it was negligible.  He might need some ointment after the fight, but he could still move just fine.  And now, was time for a counter-attack.  He didn’t know what exactly the guardian’s skill set was, but Lorenzo was guessing that he would serve as the support for the group, protecting Asher, Rena, and the guardian.  Even so, Lorenzo couldn’t deny the temptation to wreak some havoc.  Creatures powerful enough to rip holes in the fabric of time would have some really powerful magic, he would imagine…

The thought sent shivers down his spine as the power within him began to flow once more.  This was the second time tonight he would release this floodgate, his blood filled with magical energies.  Once he felt the power surge through him, he held up a hand to the beast.  He clenched his fist tight, and then pulled his fist back down to his side.  It was almost as if he was reaching for the creature, grabbing it, and then yanking it down from the sky.  Of course, Lorenzo couldn’t reach the creature floating above their heads, not without jumping.  But, then Lorenzo wasn’t actually trying to touch it.  Instead, he was trying to grasp the magical knowledge the creature held within it.

Under normal circumstances, Lorenzo would chant, pray, recite incantation, whatever it is you wanted to call it, before casting a spell.  However, he wasn’t even entirely sure what spell he was about to cast.  He felt as though it was a powerful one, but without knowledge of what he was doing, he couldn’t rightly recite a fitting poem.  So, wordlessly, he flung his fist into the air, and the magic took effect.  A giant rock, a meteor significantly smaller and a lot less dangerous than the one they had come to destroy, came hurling down from the heavens, plowing into the creature hanging from the tear in reality.  With a bright explosion, the meteor vanished, and the monster seemed shaken.  Good.  Let’s see that beasty try to crack wise now!

K138Y arose from the crater shortly after crashing into it, at least she was pretty sure it was shortly as the battle she had been about to join was already under way. She needed to get up there, she couldn't let her guardians just fight alone. Especially not Zolanius who wasn't even responsible for the mess. The crater had risen from the ground and she would need to leap from platform to platform in order to get into the battle. The nearest one was rather far away so she took a running start and leaped just before hitting the edge. The edge of her platform had a barrier around it and K138Y collided directly into it at full speed. It didn't knock her out this time, what did and didn't knock her out seemed to be random. But she ran a system check just in case. There was no notable issues. So now he just needed to get this barrier out of the way.

She beat on the thing for quite a while. Throwing punches and kicks, even a headbutt or two. But nothing seemed to even effect the barrier that would shimmer with a ripple at every impact. She helplessly watched as her teammates valiantly fought the void fiend, wishing there was a way she could stop it. It was time to pull out the big guns. K138Y concentrated and built up the energy necessary for a summon. Cactuar. The giant cactus sprouted from the earth as if he had been planted there. He looked at her with his usual expression of shock and playfulness, shaking his arms back and fourth. He looked around and raised an eyebrow in question, what did she want him to hit? K138Y pointed simply at the nothingness where the wall was and he seemed to attempt a shrug though certainly didn't pull it off. He readied the attack. On the ground K138Y felt an unfamiliar program activate within herself. It quickly shut down her manna drive and the current full use of it when the summon caused it to first expel mana into her body with a jolt then cut her off completely. Cactuar threw his body towards the wall but nothing happened, instead he just disappeared. The expelled mana felt like an internal impact, as if her body had overloaded. Which, in fact, part of it had. She knelled to the ground in pain and tried to internally figure out what had happened.

She was able to find the program by tracing it back but not open it, not delete it, not do anything to it. Whatever it was she didn't have access to it. The title was just A R C in big letters, which did nothing to help explain what it was. A Moogle search equally provided no help. But she was able to detect that the program had been accessed via wi-fi and THAT was something she could work with. K138Y entered her meditative state again, hopefully she would not be needed here.

Current Event: Angel Fall
Current BGM:

Final Boss: Necron [ Partial Manifestation]
Battle Party: Asher, Rena, Lorenzo, Slot 4
BGM:

Name:Necron
Description: Legends among Gaians speak of a creature, a monsterous abomination that dwells at the heart of the void. This creature known as Necron is drawn to sources of extreme despair, places of great catastrophe. Normally Necron cannot enter our world as he is trapped in the void, however the destruction caused by the bomb and assumably the future destruction that it will cause ( as there is no real 'time' in the void) combined with the power of the stones (and the constant teleportation ripping holes in reality) have given Necron a small gap from which to enter our world.

Necron claims to have already dragged the former Gaia into the void, and seeks to finish the job by dragging its denizens back into the darkness. Despite its claims, it is more than likely if not pushed back Necron will seek to end this world as well.

HP: 19,007/40,000
MP: 5000/5000

Combat Abilities:
Neutron Ring: Massive damage to all party members, 500dmg all
Necron Blast Immense damage to one party member, 2000dmg
Blue Shockwave: Massive non elemental damage to all, 1000dmg all
Grand Cross: Inflicts random 5 status effects on all party members + high damage. +300dmg all

Magic:
Protect
Shell
Flare
Meteor

Actions:

1, The attacks that rallied against Necron were great enough to bring even the mightest of foes to their knees. And yet Necron still continued on as if nothing had happeneed, Rena however seemed to draw the creatures ire with her strange conclusion that she was somehow older than it. [i]" I am the voice and harbinger of the void, time, life...it all means nothing...I am eternal". For her insolence the blue creature would seem to punish her and everyone else with an attack that knew no equal. From its body a wave of void energy would sheer away at the party and their life force. Blue Shockwave: 1000dmg all

2, However this was not the end for Necron, it would continue this time focusing on the Kitsune. Void energy snapped around her and delivered a massive shock to her system that no one among you could survive. Necron Blast2000dmg, Rena KO'd

Spoiler:

The creature turned its full attention on Rena as she mocked it… and suddenly Lorenzo regretted sticking so close to her.  He jumped to a nearby rock platform as the creature launched a wave of energy from its body, which hit Lorenzo mid jump and threw him against another rocky platform.  He coiled, holding his sides, his eyes closed in pain.  As he did so, he was met once again with the brightest of blue-white lights he could imagine.  A reminder of the meteor and the bomb and Adel.  It was easy to forget what you’re fighting for when you’re life is in jeopardy.  But there was a bit more to it now.  Like someone ran a finger through their toothbrush, spraying tiny insignificant spots of less vibrant blue toothpaste into the mix.  His allies, he would imagine.  Perhaps the enemy itself.  A little string of the specks traveled between the monster and where Lorenzo was pretty sure the guardian was standing, and Asher had a few specks surrounding him as well.  Hopefully this meant Lorenzo’s vision was returning, that his eyes were growing accustomed to the bright light.  But he couldn’t be sure.

And it really didn’t matter.  Not at the moment, anyway.  Still holding his side, he got up, blood staining his new half-pants, his bare chest more or less torn open.  He struggled to his feet, and turned back to the beast, just in time to see it hit Rena with a powerful beam of energy.  Well, it was a good thing he had gotten away from her when he had.  But, something Lorenzo didn’t expect, Rena had fallen.  Now, Lorenzo certainly didn’t think Rena was unbeatable, or anything like that.  But, even so, he didn’t expect someone with her confidence to go down so easily.  Well, this certainly provided a good set up for another joke.  “Noooooo!” He screamed, and he jumped back to the spot he had just jumped away from.  “Rena!  You can’t die! What about the children? WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN!?”  He knelt down beside her, pulling the crumpled form into his own bloody arms.  He wasn’t in much better shape, honestly.  But that didn’t stop him from hamming it up, bawling big crocodile tears, holding her to his chest, and kissing her forehead… you know, all the cliché heartbroken lover stuff.  But, as he kissed her forehead, he stopped for a moment, and whispered into her ear, his voice dropping to its magical tone.

” From Hell's gate,
you shall return,
it's not yet time,
for your soul to burn.
Hyne's will demands,
that you live,
and so to you,
my healing light I give."

And with that, Rena’s lungs moved once more.  “IT’S A MIRACLE!” Lorenzo called, dropping the body unceremoniously to the ground and raising his hands high above his head.  “Even in our darkest hour, the almighty Hyne has seen fight to grant us his favor!  My Rena lives!”  He got to his feet, still a little unsteady.  Perhaps he should have been putting more thought into his own life, rather than the making jokes.  Still, he wasn’t dead yet.  He kept his eyes on Rena, though, as consciousness slowly returned to her.  Within moments she was at least fit enough for Lorenzo to use her power.  He visualized energy flowing from her and into him.  He had to push a few sex jokes from his mind at the thought.  And, with her knowledge readily available to him, he spoke again, once more in the booming spell-casting voice.

”Mighty Hyne, hear me in this time of need,
Grant us your power, grant us the gift of speed.”

As he spoke, he spun his spear in his hands, pointing it directly at Asher, who would find a boost in his speed.  The shambling zombie boy hopefully would not be shambling anymore.  He was the one who seemed to be doing the most damage; they needed him to keep up the offensive.  Lorenzo himself received a speed boost as well.  With his natural magic resistance, it was difficult for allies to grant him any such power, so Lorenzo had little choice but to take the energy for himself, whenever the opportunity arose.  Feeling the adrenaline flowing through him, and looking at the feeble form or Rena (not to mention himself), he knew there was one more thing he could do.  He jumped forward, around pieces of rubble and flying rocks.  Coiling the muscles in his legs, and releasing the tension, he leapt high into the air, landing roughly on the creature’s shoulders and thrusting his spear deep into its head.  Blood dripped from his own limbs as he spoke once more, his voice still deep.

”Magical energy, stirring within,
Boil up now, over the brim,
Pour out, drained from this creature of sin,
Dance now, hear my hymn,”

Lorenzo gripped the spear, and ripped it out sideways, so that the head of the spear seemed to scoop out a good chunk of flesh.  Except, no flesh came free from the monster.  Instead, skewered on the end of Lorenzo’s spear, was a blue glowing ball.  It represented all of the magic from within this monster.  Turning, still standing roughly on the beast’s shoulders, Lorenzo swung the spear in a wide arc, and the ball flew off the spear, high into the sky.  Lorenzo jumped back to rock beside Rena with a flip, and placed both hands on the ground, for the second half of his attack.

”Come now, power of earth,
See the evil within this orb,
Purify it, renew it, make it something of worth,
Turn it into an energy we can absorb.”

A beam of energy shot up from the ground below them, through the floating rock they stood on, and up into the ball of magic that Lorenzo had extracted from the monster.  The ball quivered as the energy from the life stream below met the energy of the creature.  Then, it exploded, sending little droplets of power falling down all around them.  As the droplets hit their skin, they would all feel rejuvenated and empowered.  Lorenzo felt his own wounds vanish, and knew that the same could be said for Rena as well.  Lorenzo stepped back, now, though, figuring he had been too close to the beast for too long, and not wanting to draw its attention the way Rena had.  If he fell in battle, he wasn’t sure the others could revive him.  And they certainly would do it with as much pizzaz.

PostSubject: Re: Angel Fall [Event]   Fri Nov 15, 2013 9:50 pm

The man - the guardian next to him - spoke another simple truth. He couldn't let words bother him, otherwise he was going to really get crushed underneath this thing's feet. While Asher had no real understanding of Zol's power, he knew that if nothing else, Zol was a capable tactician. He was moving, and Asher had to take care to observe it.

He was coordinating the Fiends for another assault when Necron loaded and unleashed a haze of energy. It pulsed outward, and his Fiends each dissipated in a burst of Pyreflies - their souls returning to the point in which he'd brought them together. Hopefully, now, having had a taste for vengeance, the Fiends would go rest. But that didn't address the problem of the wave of energy that was racing towards them.

Asher only had a moment's thought - he vanished, and popped into existence in a burst of Pyreflies next to Zola. An instant later, he had his tail lashed around the other man like a furry belt - he was thankful that his tailfur had finished growing back in. All in all the monkey boy was looking more alive than dead at this point, but that was clearly not the case, to anyone who knew him. The two of them would be safely on the other side of the burst wave, as the spiritual lights illuminated them both. ( Two Auto-Dodges used. 2 teleports, -20MP )

"Sorry. I didn't think - I just reacted." He added, just in case Zola had had some response to it. It wouldn't help Rena and Lorenzo, but he knew what they were capable of - he was less worried than all that. The SeeD felt, more than saw, the burst of power that triggered behind him, so he spun himself in time to see Rena collapse.

Lorenzo was over her in a second, sounding... legitimately concerned. Asher's gaze traveled back to Necron. He had one more precise shot in him that he could see - one more specific target that would cause more pain than normal. ( Or at least, he hoped that was what was happening. ) He kicked up rock debris as he pushed away from the assembled group and Lorenzo's rhyming. At the very edge of the floating stone, he leaped again, speed and strength carrying him sailing up to Necron for another shot. This time, though, he was going for the throat.

He brought both K-Assassin Gunblades around, blades igniting simultaneously to drive a deep gash through Necron's existence, fingers flexing to hold down the triggers for each. The rapport of gunfire was audible from here. He used the momentum of the swing to turn himself away from the floating giant, digging his feet into him for purchase.

Asher landed on the ground next to Zola, again, feet skidding against the stone.

At the same time, he felt energy pour into him - his Haste magic reinforced by a new wave of Time. Lorenzo assaulted Necron, then fired a burst into the sky. The rain fell as Asher took stock of the remainder of the situation - but when the healing droplets hit him, they sizzled.

Up until this point, the additional injuries Asher had sustained didn't register. Dead flesh didn't feel. Except when it came to the burning power of healing magic, that is. He let out a howl and batted the stuff away from him, but the damage was done nonetheless.

"Lorenzo! Watch where you're hosing that stuff!" He shouted, irritated and wishing the deep-reaching acidic feel of the energy would stop eating at him.

PostSubject: Re: Angel Fall [Event]   Sat Nov 16, 2013 12:35 am

Zolanius nodded towards Rena upon her application of Haste, and he immediately felt full of energy, not unlike when he had borrowed power from the Raven Shade. And he felt like he could take on the world. But Necron, who was not of this world, would still be a threat. And he'd treat it as such. And as Necron unleashed its next attack, Zolanius felt the tail of his comrade around him, and there was the sudden shifting feeling of teleportation. He found himself on the other side of Necron, and an expression of frustration became apparent on Zolanius's face. With a quick turn of his head, he glared at Asher during his explanation, and sighed with reluctant acceptance afterwards. After saying "Whatever" in the back of his mind, he saw Rena get taken down, with Lorenzo quickly running over to save her. As she'd awaken, Zolanius would shout, "Hey, how about we NOT piss off the interdimensional terror, yeah!?" Seriously, he was getting tired of her lethargy and subtle tones of superiority that he was picking up. But there was no need to make a big deal out of if. First, they have to survive.

After collecting himself, and immediately feeling invigorated by Transfusion, Zolanius was ready for another assault. He held out his free hand and used another Drain spell wish left him again with no energy, but once more left him personal reason to use his more brutal techniques with a sword. Here, he'd leap at Necron, striking it once in the back, and again on the side in a single, fluid action. It'd be known here that the attacks Zolanius was making, as insignificant as they were, were tearing through Necron, leaving wounds that were hardly worth noticing at first, but Zolanius' lacerating technique was definitely doing what he wanted it to do.

~ Battle Info:

Action 1: Drain Damage: 30(magic stat), +40, +25(Custom Longsword)= 95

Action 2: Basic Attack Damage: 35(strength stat), +50(Custom Longsword)= 85

Action 3: Basic Attack Damage: 35(strength stat), +50(Custom Longsword)= 85

Effects: Laceration

•Description: When MP reaches 25% or lower, Zolanius resorts to more brutal fighting that he's used as a means to harness blood magic. Each standard attack cuts deep and leaves wounds that bleed faster than usual. However, once MP restores beyond 25%, standard attacks return to normal.

•Damage: Standard damage

•Additional Effects: Laceration leaves the target with bleeding damage, making them lose 2% of HP each turn for five turns. This can stack up to five times, and each hit restores the bleeding duration of Laceration. Laceration cannot be applied to anything without blood, such as machines and elementals. Unless they, for some reason, have blood flow.

Transfusion (passive)

•Description: Zolanius draws upon the essence of his enemies blood. For every two points of damage an enemy takes from the effects of Laceration, Zolanius is restored one point of HP and MP. This does not include the on-hit effect, but the status ailment.

Conclusion: 265 damage and Laceration x3 (6% HP loss = 2400 damage during enemy's turn, 1200 HP/MP regen to Zolanius via Transfusion during enemy's turn.)

Rena was feeling pretty good about the battle at least for a short time, that time being until the Beast turned directly towards her. Her ears going back it was only a second as she was hit with one attack, her ears back as she winced in pain. Lorenzo having tried to Bolt as it was only seconds more when another hit her, this attack far more powerful as she screamed out in pain. Her scream loud enough to echo out over the area as she'd go immediately limp, body dropping to the ground with a hard thud, tails limp as she didn't move. Not a twitch, no breath at all as for her the world became intense pain and then numbness. The numbness wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't for the fact she was physically dead, her body unable to heal, to repair itself as it would have been able to on the past without the tail ring on. Now with it on she lay there, gone to the world at hand as it was.
Despite Lorenzo's best attempt at seeming heartbroken even in the midst of battle, his spell as he cast it would do what it was supposed to. Life breathing back into her body as she would cough a bit, laying their still after having been manhandled by him. Being left to lay their as he drew out Hastera from herself, she would slowly sit up and look around the area. She still felt out of it, disassociated someone could even say, she had been stuck in a limbo like death all her own. Her body dead and unable to heal on it's own, but in a state that it wouldn't have decomposed not for millenia. A bit oblivious still she would glance to the Beasty they had been fighting, it taking her more then a few seconds to realize it was there when she suddenly felt full of life once again.

*Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!! *

Was all that passed her lips, the infusion rune still active as she was able to restore her mp completely as she was brought back to the world of the living. Standing up and more then a bit panicked, not really by the beasty but by the fact of having died period. She would use Blighted Scourge on the beast, dropping her mp back to 0 once more as it had been healed. Using the moments that it would feel the effect as she'd retreat from the field, running past Ky and letting her jump into the ring so to speak.

Off the field and behind a rather large boulder, she would sit breathing deeply gripping one of her tails as she sat. Looking around she would see a rock roughly the size of a basketball, Grabbing it and turning to look at her tails, she would move around till the could get the damnable ring partially on a rock. She would start smashing the other against it, panicking as it wasn't being scratched, it wasn't being dented. No Marks or anything being left on it as well no reaction to the abuse, it was a very minor disturbance after all to it. Tears though fell rolling down her cheeks as she huffed loudly growling equally low and bashing it, her tail getting cut and bloodies a bit as the rock was broken and chiseled away more then the ring ever would be. That pain little to her own fear as the ring it's self scared her far more.

*Come off! I don't want this damn binding!!! Take it off!!!!!!!! *

She would let out a low lonely howl even as the fight went on behind her on the other side of the rock, it only renewed her efforts to get the thing off, but made it far more fearful of the device. To her it was the most dangerous thing in any universe, she was cut off from who she was and knew she was. Crying still she would look at her bloodied tail, she would reach a shaky hand down to run through the blood in her fur. Sniffing at the air she would turn around to peek over the rock, looking to see what was happening with the beast, seeing Zola and the rest all seeming to do fine. None of which had been taken down themselves yet, which was good but she wondered how long such would last.

Used Blighted Scourge for 1700 Damage + 15 dmg from Blighted Scrawl.
Swapped places with Ky.

Blighted Scourge
Description: Rena has managed to resist the blight completely, as a result. She has twisted the Blight to her own means, as opposed to her being twisted to its.Blighted Scourge taps into a portion of Rena's true nature and channels that power into an attack of epic proportions. Blighted Scourge unleashes a wave of fire erupting from below the opponent. But this is no ordinary fire, much like Blighted Burn, this fire is tainted by the powers of darkness.
Damage: 1700
Additional Effects:Inflicts Blighted Scrawl
MP Cost: 1000

K138Y opened her eyes to the site of a rather upset Rena running right at her, then past her. Rena had gotten through the barrier but the creature was still there fighting. For a moment she was torn between checking on Rena who had dived behind a rock and getting into the fight. Decidedly Rena could handle herself and there would be time to talk after this thing was sent back to the void, doing the talk now could result in it becoming their last. She rushed towards the platforms edge again, only a little scared that she would be met face first with a barrier again. She leaped towards the platform that Rena had once occupied and successfully landed on it.

Arriving just in time to watch Asher freak out when hit by some sort of friendly fire magic of Lorenzo's. Based on the effect and reaction from others it seemed to be healing magic. For K138Y the conclusion was that Asher was some sort of undead, since usually only the undead were injured by healing. This would explain how he survived the explosion. It was hard to be certain if he had always been undead or just come back as an undead after the explosion had killed him. The guy did look pretty dead when he first approached but already he was looking better. It was probably an effect of the blight.

Lorenzo and Zolanius were looking pretty good considering the fight at hand. Much better than the creature who was bleeding quite profusely. She would accredit that to her guardian's trademark laceration effect. K138Y considered her options and attempted to summon an Aeon, but nothing happened and her mana drive didn't respond. Arriana's partial shutdown was still in effect. Having no other options, K138Y rushed the void creature. First leaping to its single boot looking thing then up onto the tip of its lowered claw. The final jump from there put her on the lowest ring of the things body where she balanced herself and quickly punched the thing once with each fist. There wasn't much time to get more hits in so she quickly retreated back to her platform by leaping off the ring and running back to her own suspended platform position.

"So just how bad does this thing seem to be?" She asked, adressing anyone of the party who wanted to listen. She had only seen a small part of the battle before chasing down the virtual path to Arianna.

Current Event: Angel Fall
Current BGM:

Final Boss: Necron [ Partial Manifestation]
Battle Party: Asher, Zola, Lorenzo, K138Y
BGM:

HP: 6621/40,000
MP: 5000/5000

Combat Abilities:
Neutron Ring: Massive damage to all party members, 500dmg all
Necron Blast Immense damage to one party member, 2000dmg
Blue Shockwave: Massive non elemental damage to all, 1000dmg all
Grand Cross: Inflicts random 5 status effects on all party members + high damage. +300dmg all

Magic:
Protect
Shell
Flare
Meteor

Actions:

1, For the first time in the battle Necoron seemed to be weakening from the force that was laid against it, this time though the creature would go all out on the one individual who seemed to be causing it the most issues. " Even your darkness will one day become nothing".Necron focused on him the same energy that he did on Rena, blasting Asher (assuming he doesn't dodge) with extremely powerful magical energy.Necron Blast: 2000dmg

2, Things would then get strange as Necron unleashed a new attack, there was the sream of souls, a wail from the void behind him as a new image appeared Within the void seemed to collide what looked like two planetary structures between a sun. The resulting collision seemed to create a cross of sorts before the resulting energy lapsed out from the tear and onto the entire party.Whilst the damage was not particularly debilitating for most party members the residual effects were. Grand Cross: 300dmg all, Blind, Silence, Poison, Slow, Doom inflicted on all.

Later, when looking back, Asher would have to say that the only thing he remembered in this moment was the light. Not a single action from the other combatants on his side were able to impinge on his focus. The energy washed over him in a blaze of literal glory - crushing him into an all but insignificant crater in the ground.

His focus was shaken, which was why he missed the planetary alignment, and the sharp lances of crossed energy that rocked his body.

He found himself staring at the broken sky, as Pyreflies began to flicker up from his form. Some might think he'd finally bitten it. Had it been anyone else, they might have. Instead, he pulled himself out of the rather Asher-shaped hole in the floating stone, groaning as he did. Not from any pain, but from the strain of actually trying to move. The Pyreflies that constituted his 'eyes' simply focused on the thing.

"That day is not today."

He lifted both hands, and the universe obeyed him. Four pinpricks of light echoed along Necron's body, before exploding, effectively flash-frying him with sheer power. Nonelemental damage from his Flare spells simply rolled over it, and though, like everything else, it seemed to roll off him like water.

"The only thing returning to nothing is you."

Asher seemed to have drawn the attention of Necron, probably due to his heavy hitting nature, who blasted him with an ability of such devastation that she was sure nothing could have survived. But Asher did, he survived and came back in full force with an even more powerful attack. K138Y needed to consider if confronting the zombie that could easily kill her about his blight issues was really the best plan of action. For now she had her own issues to deal with.

When the crazy world colliding energy came her way it dealt minimal damage. But K138Y felt herself slow down her passively fast nature seemed to be slowed down. It was most likely an effect of the attack but K138Y felt as though it could be more of Arianna's doing. Looking to the other though she realized that was not the case. She followed up by charging at him again and reasserting herself on the lower ring. She delivered a dual punch and kick followed up by a headbutt into the creatures body. Nothing left to do but flee.

The next attack that would hit Zolanius would be painful, but he wasn't worried, for his wounds would be healed entirely by the effects of his Transfusion ability. What lingered though was something more dangerous. More familiar and... More terrifying. All of these sudden feelings. He fell to his knees, using his sword to hold himself up. The burden of it all was already getting to him, taking his mind back to his time of captivity. The toxicity flowing through him, the darkness shrouding his vision, the feeling of death looming over him so close, he'd almost shiver. He'd grip his chest, covered in the scars of torment and he'd begin breathing ever so heavily. "No... Not again... Please, make it stop! Make it stop!!! St- Stone! I... I need you again! Stooone!!!" The Raven Shade took a tight grip on his psyche in an attempt to calm him down. It was almost as if it were wrenching control from him, and his eyes shimmered with a bright yellow glow that was riddled with strands of darkness, as though the Shade was trying to use him for vision, and guide him. "You're right, Shade... I must... I must keep going." He'd jerk upright, stumbling backwards while attempting to keep his balance. He'd then wearily walk over to Necron, sword in both hands. "I made a promise to K that I'd be her guardian... And I'd risk an eternity in the Void itself to keep her going..." Once he'd reach Necron, he'd swing at him as best he can, hoping to do SOMETHING this time around. He knew he was close, he could still feel the blood around him.

Battle Info:

Action 1: Basic Attack Damage: 35(strength stat), +50(Custom Longsword)= 85

Action 2: Basic Attack Damage: 35(strength stat), +50(Custom Longsword)= 85

Conclusion: 170 damage and Laceration x3 (6% HP loss = 2400 damage during enemy's turn, 1200 HP/MP regen to Zolanius via Transfusion during enemy's turn.)

Spoiler:

Lorenzo’s muscles tensed as a wave of energy washed over him, and a bright light met his eyes. Nausea and dizziness met him, and the bright light of the attack simply did not fade at all. He was blinded and sick to his stomach. He wasn’t quite sure what the attack had just done to him, but it certainly made it difficult for him to keep track of the others around him. It was as though his head was in a haze. No, no, he could focus and get through this alright. Asher, hit by the same attack that took down Rena so effortlessly, seemed to be falling apart, and on the brink of death. Or re-death, as the case may be. The guardian was not in much better condition, as he stumbled forward, barely keeping his sword steady. The robot seemed to slow down a bit as well, leaving Lorenzo questioning when she had jumped in to the fray to begin with, and where Rena had run away to. Hopefully she was okay. Though, she should be, considering Lorenzo’s healing abilities. Still, he’d feel a lot better if he could just see her.

Although, at the moment, Lorenzo couldn’t see much of anything, as his vision was blurry. His throat was also soar and it was difficult to speak. Although, that might have just been because of all the deep throated incantations he had shouted out over the course of this mission, rather than any effect of the enemy’s attack. It was difficult to tell through the fog over his eyes, but it looked as though the monster was hurting as well. It seemed all the combatants of this little skirmish were a bit winded. For Lorenzo’s part, he wasn’t so much hurt, as he was disoriented. He seemed to have quite a few ails at the moment, but was majorly unharmed. Still, after seeing the creature down Rena the way that it did, and the blast it had given Asher, it certainly wouldn’t do to let this fight go on any longer. True, Lorenzo had already tried his best before, and the attack had barely scratched the thing, but now was different. Now it looked injured. He could do this.

So, raising his arms in the beast’s general direction, he reached out, trying to take a physical grasp on the creature’s knowledge. It was all symbolic, of course. Lorenzo didn’t need gestures or words to be able to draw energy from another. With a clenched fist, he pulled the knowledge of magical comets from the beast, and once again pulled a massive rock from the space above their heads. Fire and earth and iron falling from the sky, barreling into the beast.

With his attack made, however, he could take this dizziness and blindness no longer. Slapping a hand against his still bare chest, he pulled some energy from within himself. Ordinarily he would have another poem or prayer to chant here, but with his voice as raspy as it was, he just couldn’t bring himself to say it. Instead, he pulled the energy out of himself without it. A ring of light appeared around his feet, and then grew outwards from him, expanding into a large ring, that eventually encompassed the entire area. Immediately Lorenzo felt his mind clear, and his nausea leave him. The others would likely feel their strength returning as well. He felt certain the beast had been thoroughly defeated at this point, but in case it hadn’t, at least now he could still continue fighting if he needed to.

Current Event: Angel Fall
Current BGM:

Slowly the great entity known as Necron fell back into the hole in space and time. Its large arms crossed its chest as void energy sparked around it, the quaking voice which tore the void resounded in the minds off all present. " So...this...this is the power of life?...the will to live....it is impressive...but I think not all are like you. One day despair will bring me here once more....I am eternal....this is not the end".  The gap which allowed Necron to partially phase through closed and the earth slowly lowered to the ground, the pyreflies themselves seemed to pass on, though their current quasi unsent status was the least of the party's worries.

Boss Defeated
Rewards:
K138Y, Rena, Zolanius +4000exp, +1500GIL
Lorenzo, Asher +3000exp +1500GIL

The mission had succeeded, but also failed. The meteor had exploded sending thousands of meteor rocks spreading out throughout Vector, and from there...who knew just how far it would reach. Could it become a problem? Certainly, would it? Who knew?

There was however, a much bigger issue at hand. At least for Lorenzo anyway, a sorceress could not properly die, not at least without passing on her power to a living being. And that, thats when it happened...Lorenzo's recovering sorceress vision though blurry would make out among the rubble a body....a huge body that was still glowing. The glow was fluctuating and seemed prepared to eject itself....this was Adel's body...her power though minimal due to the rocks was still here. It was a sorceress seed, one that would move into an unsuspecting girl and give her power, though this power was fractured and waning one day it would recover and that person would have all the power of Adel.

The rest of the group were now free to leave....but Lorenzo had a choice in front of him. Manafall, his technique....could it be used to kill this sorceress seed before it took root? Could he use it to somehow transfer that very vital energy into his own body before it escaped?.....

Choice Event: Lorenzo

  • Use Manafall and attempt to intercept the Sorceress Seed transfer
  • Allow nature to take its course, let Adel die ( or repeatedly stab her corpse) and allow the Seed to transfer into another

Had watched the group as they would fight, doing their damage and finishing off the beast. She would slip down, settling behind the rock once more she would sigh hugging her knees to her chest as she sat their. Curling her tails around herself even as one was covered in a fair bit of blood, the wounds would heal after a short time but now she didn't want to look at the tail ring at all. Closing her eyes as she sat their, wanting to forget about it even being their. She would push herself up after a few minutes standing their she turned enough to check on the others before walking, heading away from the group slowly following the distant smell of the ocean far off but carried on the breeze. Shuffling a bit, her tails nearly dragging on the ground. Her mind was bothered by the ring, something she had previously been used to but now it was a new type of prison to her. She wasn't getting very far very quickly at all as she made her way out of the crater, back to where her feet fell to grass or other such debris.

* Has to be some way to get this off or get back home... if I could accomplish that then it should come off as well. *

Mostly talking to herself, reassuring her mind at least somewhat after the recent event. She didn't mean to ignore or leave anyone behind at the moment, she would stop walking again just a few yards out of the Crater. She would fall to her stomach, she had lost a bit more blood from her wounds before they healed but the dizziness escaped her as her mind was preoccupied. Groaning lightly she would roll to her back, looking to the sky and trying to see the stars that hung their day or night. She couldn't find them though at this time.

* Cruel Joke.... it's just one cruel Joke..*

Gained 4000 exp and 1500 gil for Boss.

Spoiler:

The creature spoke a few nonsensical lines, apparently not wanting to break its own trend.  With a promise of someday returning, the beast crawled back into the rift from whence it came, the hole in the sky closed in upon itself.  The rock they were standing on slowly began to descend, but Lorenzo didn’t wait for it, jumping down to the ground himself, and landing roughly on the edge of the crater beneath them.  He walked a few yards, out of the crater.  He had intended on pilfering the bodies of the dead for better clothes, before leaving to prepare for what might happen.  After all, his torn off imperial trousers were hardly a suitable outfit.

He was distracted from this goal, however, by a voice.  Rena’s voice.  Something was a joke.  Apparently.  Lorenzo frowned, and walked over to where she lay.  Not saying a word, he sat down next to her and held her hand.  He wasn’t trying to come on to her, or tease her or joke around at all.  She was upset, he was comforting her.  There wasn’t any more to it than that. The others, he figured, would be coming this way soon, if they were to head back to shore.  He would just sit here with his foxy friend and wait.  He still wanted to speak to Asher and the robot, after all, about how it was that all four of them had managed to make it to this Gaia.  It couldn’t be just a mere coincidence after all.  There was definitely something going on.  He was a little torn, though.  How much time could he really spend addressing this issue, with what happened with the meteor?

He closes his eyes, resting while he waited.  Immediately, though, he jumped to his feet.  Comforting depressed fox ladies would have to wait.  There, in the very center of the crater, under a pile of rubble, was a shape, brighter than the blue-white fog around it.  A pure white figure… of a person.  Admittedly, this person was not exactly what a normal person would envision when they thought of a person, being fifteen feet tall, and with long disjoined wing-like growths protruding from the shoulders. But Lorenzo recognized this silhouette.  This was Adel.  Not an imprint, not a hologram, or a ghost.  No, this was the real, physical body of the great Sorceress Adel, the single most dangerous war criminal to ever walk this world.  And, from the looks of it, she was dying.  Leaving Rena where she lay, without a sound, he ran back into the crater.

This is what he had waited for.  This is what he had trained and studied for this whole past decade and a half.  This was his moment.  Except, he wasn’t ready.  A Sorceress could not be truly killed while she still had her powers.  So, at the time of their death, Sorceresses pass on their powers to the nearest person who fit the requirements of becoming a Sorceress themselves, in a process called The Sorceresses’ Embodiment.  Lorenzo has been trying to find a way to control the flow of Hyne’s power from one person to the next.  In doing so, he could force all the fragments of Hyne’s power to re-unite much faster.  As opposed to the power going from person to person to person, endlessly, without ever getting where it needs to go.  Of course, he didn’t exactly KNOW anyone who was a definite potential Sorceress, so, naturally, he wanted to put the power in a place where he could keep an eye on it.  So, he’d ideally want to find a way to absorb the power into himself.

But, absorbing the power was only the first part of the puzzle.  Even if Lorenzo did perfect his magic absorption techniques, there would still be the question of whether or not his body was even capable of withstanding that kind of power.  There was a reason Sorceresses went mad, after all.  Not to mention the fact that he was a man.  The biology of why exactly Sorceresses were all women was still unknown to him, and to the world as a whole, though the stories say it was because Hyne wanted to hide his power in a place where no one would expect great power to hide.  If that were truly the only explanation, though, would not a priest be equally as unsuspecting as a woman?  Could it be possible that if he absorbed the power into him, he might actually have no ill effects whatsoever?  Or would the power burn out his body and leave him a dead empty husk?

But, what choice did he really have?  If he didn’t at least try to take in the Sorceresses power, then one of two things would happen; it would either fly away to the nearest young girl with Sorceress potential, or, if no one is within range, Adel would simply not die.  Sorceresses are theoretically immortal, in that regard, or so the stories say.  And, in truth, neither of those options were good news.  If another young girl were to be afflicted with this curse, than for one thing, Lorenzo would have to begin his search all over again, and who knew how many years it would take to find the inheritor of Adel’s power.  And, if Adel herself, managed to survive… well… Lorenzo didn’t want to think about how terrible that would be for himself and for the world.

At the same time, though… in both of those situations, there’s a possibility of recovery.  If another girl gets Adel’s power, true, it sets him back a few years, but he COULD still find her someday.  And if Adel herself yet lives, true the entire world would be plunged into darkness, but at least then Lorenzo would know who his target is and exactly where to find her, so that when he was ready, he could face her.  So, either way, by doing nothing, and letting Adel die or recover naturally, as the case may be, sure, he delays his goal, or potentially dooms the world… but in the long run, it would not matter.  Hyne was likely to create the world anew anyway, once he was revived… While, if he attempted to drain the power for himself… there was a very real possibility of death.  And if that happened, what would that mean for Hyne’s revival?

So, as Lorenzo reached the place where Adel’s body lay, he felt as though he knew what to do.  He would simply kill her.  Another girl will get the power.  He will spend years searching for this girl, perhaps longer, but he would still be able to continue with his goals as normal.  He would not risk Hyne’s revival for the sake of petty revenge.

At least, that is what he was thinking, as he pulled away the rock Adel was laying under.  But then, he saw her.  Not just her magical power forming a silhouette in his field of vision, but the real her.  Purple skin now covered in dark blue splotches, bruises, and her silky fiery red hair covered in dirt to the point that it appeared brown and ragged.  Even as massive a thing as she was, she looked downright pathetic.  Now, normally at this point in the story, you’d expect a sappy moment where our hero looks in the face of our villain, feels some kind of sympathy for them, and decides to spare them.  Not this time.  Lorenzo knew too well the pain that this woman like creature had caused.  He had intended on ending her misery and allowing her to pass her powers on.  Not anymore.  Rage filled him, and he began thinking irrationally.  More irrationally than usual, anyway.

Manafall.  It was an ability he had to pull magical energy from others.  He had never tried it on a Sorceress before, but on paper it should work.  And, as an added bonus, it was painful.  Extremely painful.  With a sadistic grin and a wild look in his eye, he stood over the body.  The back of his brain, the part that was still trying to act logically, asked if he could survive this.  The rage-filled part of his brain brushed the question aside.  The power of the Sorceress’ Font still had not run its course.  He was still harnessing his inner power.  Surely the Font would help him to transition into this greater power.  Plus, his connection with Hyne was strong.  He had nothing to worry about.  And, besides, all that really mattered right now was causing Adel as much pain as humanly possible.  Now that, was something his logical side could agree with.

He gave a chuckle in the same deep voice he used when practicing magic, as he looked down upon his parents’ murderer, his mouth practically watering at the thought of the pain he was about to wrought on her.

”Return to Hyne, you heartless bitch.”

It was not a poem, or an incantation, though it was spoken with the same booming chant.  With that, he raised a foot, and stomped down on the Sorceress’ gut.  With a sharp gasp, her eyes bulging from her head for a moment, an orb of energy rose from her mouth.  It floated a few feet in the air.  Ordinarily when using Manafall, Lorenzo would send the orb of magical energy flying, cast a secondary spell on it, at which point it would fall down upon the battlefield, purified, as a healing rain.  Not this time, though.  Lorenzo stepped forward, being sure to step on the dying Sorceress, and reached out, grabbing the ball of energy.  Gently, he pulled it in, towards him, cradling it in his arms like a child.  He pulled it closer, and closer, and then, pressed the orb slowly into his chest, where it seemed to melt into his own body.  And then, it was gone, fully absorbed into himself.  And, just like that The Sorceress’ Embodiment was completed, the Sorceress’ powers had been passed on to another, and Adel was now dead.  Assuming, of course, Lorenzo didn’t fall over dead himself a few moments later when the power of his Sorceress’ Font finally faded and his body was forced to accommodate the added power of Adel… but that remained to be seen.

Current Event: Angel Fall
Current BGM:

Pride, it was often the fall of many a good intentioned man. For Lorenzo it would be no different, he had fulfilled his revenge and had rushed towards his dream of a reunited and reincarnated hyne. Perhaps it was anger, self satisfaction that had blunted the cautious logic that guided him. None the less Lorenzo played his gambit and force Adel to suffer a horrific death even as the power was drained out from her. For a brief few seconds Lorenzo would feel as close to his god as he ever had. The magic flowing within him...it was like his sorceress font ability was active without end...as if the dam of a great flood had been breached with magic pouring into his veins...burning through his flesh and very being.

For a time Lorenzo seemed to glow, wings of pure light seemed to sprout from his back. But this was brief...something was ultimately wrong...the magic...it was rejecting him. The seed knew that it was within a male, knew that it had been stolen and thus fought against Lorenzo's body as if it was an animal caged. The burning sensation would make Lorenzo feel as if he was on fire, it would take nearly everything that the man had to hold onto his sanity as he rode the maelstrom of pain. The light began to seep out of him, nearly half of the magic was gone before the Paladin could get a grasp on it and hold it in check. The magic, it was there...diminished...but there. The light from around and within him would fade as the man felt physically exhausted, he still had a portion of Adel's seed inside of him and this technically made him the first ever male inheritor of Hyne's power.

Still...the power within him had been fractured...some of Adel's power had gone to the stones...another portion remained within Lorezno...but the part that had escaped. That...that would be seeking another host....none the less...even if he was not completely successful....the portion of the seed inside of him would grow and restore the power lost. But for him now...there was rest...rest and the wonder at just who among this group now held the other portion of Hyne's power.

Event Over
Status Added: Potential Sorceress
Description: All female (organic) members present at Angel Fall are now potential sorceresses. Due to Lorenzo holding onto half of this power telling just who it is for the moment is impossible as the seed is too small to notice. It will however develop in time, and the character in question will develop magical powers similar to a sorceress.
Members who Fit this Status:
-Rena
-Alpha
Additional Note:
This should remain a mystery till it is revealed through story.

Status Added: Burned Messiah(Lorenzo)
Description: Lorenzo took the power of the sorceress Adel into himself and was burned by the magic's violent reaction to its imprisonment. Whilst some of it escaped he has none the less managed to hold onto half of it, resulting in him becoming the world's first male descendant of Hyne. In time, he will develop powers that will mark him as such.

As soon as Lorenzo had cast Purify, Zolanius could see Necron fade, and return to whatever void it had come from. Zolanius fell back down to his knees in a sort of shock, and the Raven Shade had appeared before him, next to where Necron had appeared. Zolanius was amazed, happy to be alive. But honestly did not expect to still be breathing. He did battle with something far beyond his understanding, and the weight of it was bearing down on him. He dropped his blade and took out his book and pencil. With a shaky, crystal-bearing hand, he attempted to recount all that he had been through. But it all came out as chicken scratches that he could barely recognize as his own handwriting. He couldn't even focus long enough to see what else was happening. Lorenzo doing his thing, and Rena recovering from some sort of breakdown. He could sense something wrong with her however. Zolanius stood up and walked over to where she was, and the Raven Shade picked up and carried his sword just behind him.

He was legitimately concerned for her, as he could sense the blood on her tail. He knew not of what the function was of the ring, but he wasn't going to ask. Instead he'd just sit next to her. Even though he was at perfect health, relatively undamaged compared to others, he was tired. The Shade would stab the blood-soaked blade into the ground, which Zolanius would promptly lean back on with his hands behind his head. He had laid the book beside him, the pages flapping in whatever light breeze there was.

"So... What happens now? I mean, we're criminals, more or less, yeah? Gotta say, terrorism is a messy business!" He'd chuckle to himself, but didn't really expect anyone to laugh with him. He just wanted to get it all behind him.

The battle was over but K138Y wasn't feeling exhausted as her allies seemed to be. She was in fact feeling quite energetic now that the slowing effect had worn off, the loss of all that speed left her feeling drained after being so used to being passively fast. She waited patiently for her platform to descend back to its original position, taking the time to observe everything from above. There was the impact site at the center of a blackened landscape covered in glowing rocks that went on for quite a ways, it began to fade to a dingy color and eventually was green as if the rest of the world was un-bothered. There was an area of earth missing where Ifrit had ripped up the ground. Scattered with all the glowing rock was the many bodies of soldiers and probably of Edgar, it was too much to hope that he too had survived. Just into the green zone was her two guardians, Lorenzo had been there a moment before but seemed drawn suddenly to the center of the meteor. While he did his thing K138Y moved out to her guardians and joined them in grass. Sitting with her arms wrapped around knees in a sort of warped 'Indian' style.

Rena was unhappy about something, though at least seemed a bit better than she had when rushing past her during the fight, and there was allot of things K138Y wanted to talk to her about. But her two guardians weren't quite as close as Rena and herself had become so she didn't ask, Rena would come forward if and when she was ready. Zolanius seemed to have other things on his mind, things K138Y had not considered up until now. They were terrorists to Vector. There was no way around that fact. Though by the looks of things there were not other survivors to be witnesses, even if some soldiers escaped some how they wouldn't have a credible story and couldn't possibly finger all of them involved. Even Edgar, their only link to the rebellion, was a closed trail at this point. She didn't really have an answer for Zola and went with all she could really think of.

"Nothing needs to happen now. We deserve a break don't you guys think? Lets just....relax for a little." Being a robot meant that truly relaxing was out of the question for her. But she could try for her guardians who needed rest like most living things. But perhaps the universe, this new universe, didn't like for people to have breaks. From this point K138Y could see the crater and could now see Lorenzo sprout wings of light from his body. It was hard to see him from here with the white glow of the wings in the way combined with the distance. It was over quickly and K138Y wasn't certain if she needed to get involved to make sure he was okay. Considering his chants during the fighting and his run to the meteor, it seemed as though he was doing some sort of ritual. That reminded her that she needed to attempt a sending again before leaving.

The energy around the boy flickered and wavered, being drawn to him from the Farplane directly. The Farplane – an extension of the planet’s life force – was a place of sanctuary for him, and he was glad that it had not abandoned him, even now in this… wherever he was. Asher slumped, finally, as the thing started to retreat, thanks to Lorenzo’s final attack. For all of his power, Asher had expended quite a lot of it – his body was rebelling again. He might not look the part of a crispy critter, but he’d expended everything he had that fight. He hadn’t even had ten minutes to himself since falling in to this situation – he wasn’t aware he’d be forced into a giant confrontation when he landed in the water.

Hell, he hadn’t been aware he had been late to the ‘party’ so to speak. Rena had given him that bit of information now.

Speaking of, Rena seemed to be coming down from her own near-death experience, and she was receiving comfort from others. Zola mentioned the fact that they were now officially terrorists, as Lorenzo focused on the body in the crater – drawing some power from it that the boy couldn’t keep his eyes on. The blinding whiteness of it all was too much for his sensitive gaze.

K, Rena, and Zola were all okay at this point. The fight was over. The Pyreflies were hovering the battlefield, waiting for… something. Asher?

Asher wasn’t sure what to do at this point. He and Rena had a common background, and he’d fought alongside Lorenzo once or twice, but neither of them were family. Neither of them were the people he wanted to be near to. They were familiar, yes… they did good things ( for the most part )… so he was willing to go along with them while he was getting his bearings straight.

But now? He was still out of place. Lorenzo and Rena both had their things to focus on – whether they be white, magical wings that were clearly a show of power that Asher could only vaguely make out due to their brilliance. Their friends. What did he have to focus on now? Well… he didn’t know what to do about that. Not yet.

Part of him wanted to ask Rena about what she’d meant by him being late. But the other part of him? Wanted nothing to do with the devastation he’d taken part in. The world was safe from that creature. But what world was he in, really? He needed to find August. He’d come through, hadn’t he?

A pang of longing tugged at him.

Lorenzo’s wings were gone, and he looked… exhausted. But Asher could see he wasn’t dead – not that the boy could do anything about it if he were. He bit his lip uncertainly. Should he stay? K knew what he’d done. Uncertainty wrote itself on his face. If she said something, then he didn’t know what would happen.

Running wouldn’t help that, though.

Carefully, the Genome approached the three, eyes not leaving Lorenzo, in case he want all Avenging Angel.

“Are you three okay?” He asked, dropping down to the ground next to them, black tail limp on the ground behind him. Now that he was not actively tapping it, there was nothing unusual about the boy – outside of how bruised and a few still visible burns on his mostly-naked body.

Whoops. He should probably worry about that. Later.
